De Cuba (Mes H)

In his much-quoted speech of June 30, 1961, "Words to the Intellectuals," Fidel Castro addressed the issue of artistic freedom: "Freedom of form has been spoken of here. Everybody agrees that freedom of form has to be respected. I believe there is no doubt in regard to thist point." He continued, "No one ever thought that every man, or every writer, or every artist has to be a revolutionary, as no one believes that every man, or every revolutionary, has to be an artist."
